TAYVALLICH CHURCH

Tayvallich Church, overlooks the Bay and is a few yards on from the shop, and together with Churches at Bellanoch and Inverlussa is part of the Church of Scotland Parish of North Knapdale. This area covers the villages of Tayvallich, Achnamara, Bellanoch, and Crinan.  Included within the Parish are two 12 th Century chapels, straddling Loch Sween, one at Kilmory and the other at Keills. These are semi ruins but have been re - roofed and now contain early Christian grave slabs.

Tayvallich church is a typical rural church design and although not architecturally significant does have on display, an early Christian cross from nearby Taynish. The Church is open every day to visitors.

Bellanoch is a small country church with two pleasing stained glass windows.

Inverlussa (by Achnamara) is considered by some to be the most architecturally appealing of the three churches.

Each of the Churches will be pleased to welcome Church members new to the area, and visitors are very welcome at any of the Worship services.

Currently, the post of minister of this parish is vacant. Sunday services have been rescheduled as a result of the vacancy and there is now a combined service each week.
