Property Description

Torr Beag is a modern, detached holiday cottage in Tayvallich, a charming harbour village on the shore of Loch Sween.

Situated in a small, secluded development made up of a handful of properties, with a beautiful backdrop of rolling hills, it is a wonderful place to stay for friends and families exploring the Argyll and Bute region of western Scotland.

Inside the cottage is a bright sitting room with a woodburner-style electric stove, where you can relax and put your feet up after a good, long walk exploring this stunning region.

Above the stove is a beautiful wood mantle, carved by a local man in the village.

Similar details can also be found in the kitchen and dining area, adding a lovely homely feel to the property.

The sitting room leads to the back of the property, into a spacious kitchen and dining area with double doors leading outside onto a charming patio.

The neighbour's pretty terrace garden provides good privacy and, as the space is a nice little sun trap, it makes a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast on summer mornings.

On the ground floor is a family bathroom where you can unwind with a bubble bath, as well as a double bedroom with a clever, compact en-suite shower room.

Upstairs are two further bedrooms, a spacious master bedroom with views of the surrounding countryside, as well as a twin room.

Although Torr Beag is only a short walk from the harbour, shops and inn in Tayvallich, you can enjoy peace and quiet, and the pretty sound of birdsong whilst sitting outside.

A short walk from the property, away from Tayvallich village, is a wonderful beach called Carsaig Bay and you can also easily visit the Isle of Jura, with fast ferry crossings available across Jura Sound.

Within half an hour, you can enjoy walking and fishing on the Crinan Canal or explore the castle ruins at Kilmartin.

A wonderful holiday home for exploring this beautiful corner of Scotland.
